TONY TRAMMELL

FOUNDER/HEAD INSTRUCTOR

Tony Trammell, the esteemed owner and head instructor of Corvo Martial Arts, is a highly accomplished martial artist. Holding the rank of black belt, first degree, under the tutelage of Bruno Mendes, Tony's expertise in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is unparalleled. Notably, he has had the privilege of training directly under the legendary Gracie family, further enhancing his skills and knowledge.

Tony's dedication to his craft extends beyond personal achievements. He has actively competed in numerous tournaments and pro matches, showcasing his exceptional abilities on the mat. However, his current focus lies in coaching and mentoring the students at Corvo Martial Arts.

As a coach, Tony is committed to nurturing the potential of his students and helping them achieve their own martial arts goals. His extensive experience, combined with his passion for teaching, enables him to provide comprehensive guidance and support to individuals of all skill levels.

DOMINIC RAMOS

COACH

Dominic Ramos is a dedicated practitioner of jiu-jitsu with over 12 years of training experience. His journey in this martial art began years ago and has led him to become a highly skilled brown belt practitioner. With an impressive track record, Dominic has proven his abilities and achieved notable accolades throughout his jiu-jitsu career. Notably, he attained the third-place position at the American Nationals during his time as a purple belt, showcasing his determination and technical prowess on the competition mats. Additionally, Dominic secured the second-place position at the No-Gi Pans, further highlighting his adaptability and skill in a variety of grappling scenarios. Further adding to his achievements, Dominic was awarded a prestigious scholarship to the University of Central Missouri. This scholarship recognizes his exceptional talent, dedication, and commitment to both academics and wrestling. It is a testament to his well-rounded abilities and his drive to excel in all aspects of his life. Outside of his competition successes, Dominic is a passionate instructor, sharing his knowledge and expertise with students of all levels. His commitment to fostering growth and development within the jiu-jitsu community is evident through his patient teaching style and emphasis on proper technique. With a decade-long journey in jiu-jitsu, Dominic has acquired a wealth of experience, refined his skills, and established himself as a highly respected brown belt practitioner. Dominic remains an inspiration to fellow practitioners and a formidable force in the jiu-jitsu world.

BRIEN MCKIN

COACH

Brien was born in Florida and raised in Texas. He had played sports his entire childhood up until he graduated High School. After High School, Brien joined the United States Army on April 4, 2007 and served 1 tour in Afghanistan from October 2009 to October 2010. He got out of the service after serving 8 years due to an injury. After settling into civilian life, Brien started training in Brazilian Jiu jitsu in 2018 at Corvo Martial Arts. Brien is currently a Purple Belt.

MICHELLE TRENT

COACH

Michelle Trent is a certified personal trainer with 14 years of experience and a brown belt under Tony Trammell. After spending the early years of her fitness career competing in bodybuilding and CrossFit, she decided to jump into martial arts in 2013 to challenge herself even further. Over the course of her career, she has competed in numerous Jiu Jitsu tournaments, MMA and spent two months training/competing in Thailand. Although she originally set out just to be a competitor, she began coaching women’s Jiu Jitsu after she received her purple belt in fall of 2017 and fell in love with the coaching aspect of the sport. Since then, she has taught women’s classes, over 30 self-defense seminars and has coached women in tournaments. Her goal for coaching is to get more women on the mats so they can feel empowered and confident enough to defend themselves.

JOSH MOSQUEA

COACH

Josh is a highly skilled striking coach at Corvo Martial Arts, boasting over 10 years of experience in the field. With a background in MMA, he has not only competed as both an amateur and a professional fighter but has also honed his skills as a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Josh's extensive experience in the world of mixed martial arts gives him a unique perspective as a striking coach. He understands the intricacies of the sport and knows what it takes to succeed in the ring. His expertise in both striking and grappling allows him to provide well-rounded training to his students. As a dedicated instructor, Josh is committed to helping his students develop their striking techniques, improve their overall fitness, and achieve their martial arts goals. Whether you are a beginner looking to learn the basics or an experienced fighter aiming to enhance your skills, Josh is there to guide and support you every step of the way. Roy is an experienced instructor of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Corvo Martial Arts. He is passionate about both training Jiu-Jitsu and providing fitness instruction. With his expertise in Jiu-Jitsu, Roy is dedicated to teaching and sharing his knowledge with his students. Additionally, he has a strong passion for fitness instruction, helping individuals achieve their fitness goals through effective training techniques.
